Merle Hansen

Profile:

Born and raised in Germany where I was educated at a classics grammar and Steiner school respectively. 1985/86 I spent one year in England for my English language proficiency. Once I had completed my schooling in Germany l returned to England where my four children were born and we still live today in the beautiful county of Herefordshire.

Work:

After graduating from university in 1996 I focussed some years on raising my children whilst building my canvas manufacturing business, Hummingbird tipis, making both tipis and yurts for the commercial and private retail market.

When my last baby was born in 2012 I decided to sell the business and retrain in the complementary therapy sector as being a mum fostered my interest in supporting people on their journey towards greater wellbeing and energy.

Family constellations is a fascinating body of work resolving ancestral trauma in a group setting. Through the experience of working in this way I gained valuable skills in holding groups and tuning finely into the needs of the individual.

Working with clients on a psycho-emotional level is very powerful but I now wanted to find the physical and energetic tools to add into my skill set. As soon as I discovered the courses at Bodyharmonics I found my passion for Chinese medicine and the powerful methods of TuiNa and Acupuncture.

I completed my trainings with distinction and founded an Integrative Healing Centre with a core group of therapists in Hereford which was very well received and very successful. Due to lockdown restrictions we were sadly forced to close.

I now run a busy clinic from my home combining both TuiNa and Acupuncture. As of this year I have been invited to assist on the acupuncture training course at Bodyharmonics.
