Study Acupuncture

Deciding to study Acupuncture will change your life. Acupuncturists come from many different backgrounds or professions, often after discovering the health benefits themselves.

Reasons for learning acupuncture are:

  • To learn new skills for a rewarding career
  • To further and deepen your knowledge of TCM
  • To broaden the scope of your treatments as a complementary therapist
  • To enable you to help people with a wide variety of health conditions.

Study an Accredited Acupuncture Courses here

As a beginner, you do not need any healthcare experience to study traditional acupuncture on one of the Acupuncture Acutherapy Accreditation Board (AAAB) accredited courses.

AAAB offer accredited degree level courses but not an academic degree. Everything is taught at the same level as an Honours degree course but is much more focused and very intensive. AAAB guarantees excellence in training which ensures practitioners are competent and safe in their practice and professional conduct.

AAAB accredited courses offers a thorough training in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory together with anatomy and physiology. They provide an integrated understanding of both the complexities of traditional eastern and modern western approaches to healthcare. They offer the opportunity to hone practical skills under the supervision of expert, experienced teachers.

Graduates of AAAB accredited courses are automatically eligible to join the Acupuncture-Acutherapy Council (AucC), the UK's leading governing body for Acupuncture and Oriental Bodywork.
